VHR asks Modi to take action against Naidu Hyderabad, June 5 (INN): Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take stern action against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his alleged involvement in 'Cash for Vote' case.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, VHR said that the Centre should not keep silent on the issue as the BJP leaders claim that they oppose all kinds of corruption. He said TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy has clearly named Naidu while trying to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson. He said that the Centre should initiate action against the TDP chief to prove its commitment towards ethical and morality-based politics.
VHR also opposed the proposed yatra by YSRCP leader Sharmila from 9th to 12th June in Nalgonda district. He said by supporting the TRS in MLC elections, the YSRCP has played a double game. He said former Chief Minister late Dr YS Rajasehkara Reddy and YSR Congress Party were both against the Telangana. However, by extending support to TRS, Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to protect his properties in Telangana State, he alleged.
