Four day police custody for Revanth Hyderabad, June 5 (INN): The Special Court of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Cases on Friday granted four day police custody for TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy for further interrogation in the 'Cash for Vote' case.
Revanth Reddy was caught 'red handed' by the ACB on May 31 when he tried to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote for the TDP candidate in the MLC elections. He was later sent to 14-day judicial remand in Cherlapally Central Jail.
The ACB had filed a petition before the court on Thursday seeking custody of Revanth Reddy for further interrogation. The court, on Friday, after hearing the arguments of both Public Prosecutor and Revanth Reddy's lawyers, granted four-day police custody. The court directed the ACB that to question Revanth Reddy in the presence of his lawyers from 9 AM to 4 PM on all four days. The investigating agency was also directed not to use any third degree methods or subject the MLA to any physical harassment.
