KCR assures to fill vacancies Hyderabad, June 6 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to fill the vacancies in State's GENCO, TRANSCO and DISCOMs of Energy Department.
The Chief Minister has directed the GENCO Chairman and Managing Director Prabhakar Rao to submit proposals on filling up of vacancies. KCR's assurance came after the Joint Action Committee of Engineers Association of Energy Department, which took a massive rally on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, called on KCR at his camp office.
The Chief Minister assured that JAC delegation that the State Government would soon fill the vacancies to strengthen the energy department. He thanked the employees for their cooperation in overcoming the power crisis. He said presently the State Government was purchasing power to meet the needs. However, he said from next year the Telangana Government would not be required to buy power from other States. He said that the employees' salaries would be hiked after the department registers profit from next year.
The Chief Minister said that all power projects in the State would be executed only through GENCO.
JAC leaders Sudhakar Rao, Sampath Rao, Ratnakar and Vijay Lakshmi were also present on the occasion.
