Naidu slams KCR, says Tapes doctored Hyderabad, June 8 (INN): Strongly reacting to the allegations of his involvement in the 'Cash for Vote' case, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu described the tapes allegedly containing his voice as 'doctored'.
Addressing the 'Maha Sankalpam' programme in Mangalgiri of Guntur district on Monday evening, Naidu accused his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao of trying to intimidate him. He asked as to who authorised KCR to tap his phone. He said he was no ordinary person, but the Chief Minister of a State. Accusing KCR of hatching a conspiracy against him, he said he could take the issue to another level and it would be impossible for KCR to face the consequences.
Naidu said that the people of Andhra Pradesh have a equal right on Hyderabad for the next 10 years. He alleged that people of Andhra Pradesh were not being allowed to live with honour in the joint capital and their houses too were being demolished. He claimed that he always believed in ethical politics and winning or losing one MLC seat was of no significance to him.
The TDP chief asked KCR to explain the reasons for which he lured five TDP MLAs into his party. "Were they not paid huge amounts to join the TRS?" he asked. Referring to Talasani Srinivas Yadav, he said was inducted into the cabinet without even making him resign from his post. "Is it not undemocratic and unconstitutional?" he asked.
Naidu accused Telangana Government of trying to terrorise TDP leaders by using Anti-Corruption Bureau. "Andhra Pradesh too have ACB and it also has its own police," he said. He stated that KCR has committed a major mistake of insulting the people of Andhra Pradesh by tapping the phone of their Chief Minister.
