Harish dismisses AP's objection on Palamur, Dindi Projects Hyderabad, June 12 (INN): Irrigation Minsiter T Harish Rao has dismissed the allegations of his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao that the Telangana Government got no permissions for Palamuru and Dindi projects.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here on Friday, Harish Rao pointed out that the Detailed Project Report for Dindi Project was prepared by the then YS Rajasekhara Reddy Government in 2007. Similarly, the survey for Palamur project was taken by the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government. He said that the Telangana Government was only pursuing the old projects which were pending for a long time.
Harish Rao accused AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of trying to stall the development process in Telangana State. He asked the AP Government to clarify whether it completed all the formalities for Handri-Neeva, Pothireddypadu, Pattiseema and Polavaram irrigation projects. He asked Telangana TDP leaders to state whether they support or oppose Palamuru and Dindi projects.
