Cash for Vote: Who is next in line? The noose around the neck of Telugu Desam party leaders seemed to be getting tightened in the cash-for-vote scandal.Telangana's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has issued notice to two Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and news is that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is also likely to be summoned for questioning in the cash-for-vote scam.
The ACB served notice on TDP legislator Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and another leader, V. Narender Reddy, who was TDP-BJP candidate in Telangana legislative council elections. They were asked to appear before ACB for questioning and Vem already attended for the interrogation.
Who will the next one to get the ACB notice in the Cash for Vote scam? Some unconfirmed reports say that it could be Rajya Sabha MP Garikapati Mohan Rao. After MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Vem Narender Reddy, it could be the Rajya Sabha MP.
The ACB believes that Garikapati played vital role in the deal. However, giving a notice to Garikapati would involve several procedures as he a Rajya Sabha MP and deputy chairperson's permission is necessary for proceeding against him.The ACB may send notices to other TDP leaders, including Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, MP Sujana Choudary and MP C M Ramesh.
