TPJAC demands memorial for Prof. Jayashankar Hyderabad, June 21 (INN): Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. M Kodandaram on Sunday demanded that the Telangana Government install a statue and construct a memorial for Prof. Jayashankar in Hyderabad.
Addressing a meeting at TPJAC office on the occasion of fourth death anniversary of Prof. Jayashankar, Kodandaram said that entire Telangana movement was inspired Prof. Jayashankar's ideology and he guided the statehood struggle throughout his life. Therefore, he said that the State Government should take immediate steps to construct his memorial in the city.
Kodandaram also although the TPJAC had nothing to do with politics, it would play its role as a watchdog to ensure development of Telangana State. He said so far, the performance of TRS Government has been satisfactory.
TNGOs leader Ravinder Reddy and other members of TPJAC also addressed the meeting.
