News: Special Stories | ఐఐఎం ఫీజు 9 లక్షలు
కోలకతా : ఇండియన్ ఇన్ స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ మేనేజ్ మెంట్ (ఐఐఎం) కలకత్తా కొత్త విద్యార్థులకు ఫీజును రూ. 4 లక్షల నుంచి రూ. 9 లక్షలకు పెంచింది. 2008-10 క్లాసుకు ఫీజును లాంఛనంగా రూ. 7 లక్షలుగా నిర్థారించారు. అంటే ఇప్పుడు మొదటి సంవత్సరంలో ఉన్న విద్యార్థులు ఒక్కొక్కరు తాము అడ్మిషన్ సమయంలో చెల్లించిన రూ. 3 లక్షలకు అదనంగా రూ. 4 లక్షలు చెల్లించవలసి ఉంటుంది.
2007-09 బ్యాచ్ విద్యార్థులే రెండు సంవత్సరాల కోర్సుకు రూ. 4 లక్షలు చెల్లిస్తున్న చివరి బ్యాచ్ అవుతున్నారు. 2009-11 నుంచి బ్యాచ్ ల విద్యార్థులు రూ. 9 లక్షలు ఫీజు చెల్లించవలసి ఉంటుంది.
'2008-10 సెషన్ కు ఫీజును రూ. 7 లక్షలకు పెంచాలనే నిర్ణయాన్ని ఆ బ్యాచ్ ను చేర్చుకోవడానికి ముందు తీసుకున్నది. మేము ఆర్.సి. భార్గవ కమిటీ నివేదిక కోసం వేచి ఉన్నామంతే' అని ఐఐఎం కలకత్తా చీఫ్ అడ్మినిస్ట్రేటివ్ ఆఫీసర్ (సిఎఒ) దినేష్ వర్మ తెలియజేశారు. 'ఢిల్లీ కమిటీ నివేదికపై ఇంకా ఏ నిర్ణయమూ తీసుకోనందున ఫీజును హెచ్చించాలని మేము నిశ్చయించాం' అని ఆయన తెలిపారు.
కొత్త విద్యార్థులు చెల్లించవలసిన ఫీజును శుక్రవారం డైరెక్టర్ల బోర్డు సమావేశంలో ఖరారు చేశారు. చివరిసారిగా ఈ ఫీజును సవరించింది 2007లో. అప్పుడు వార్షిక ఫీజును రూ. 1.75 లక్షల నుంచి రూ. 2 లక్షలకు పెంచారు.
'ప్రస్తుతం ఒక్కొక్క విద్యార్థిపై మేము చేస్తున్న వార్షిక వ్యయం రూ. 4 లక్షలు. ఆ ఖర్చు యథాతథంగా ఉన్నప్పటికీ ఫీజును హెచ్చిస్తే మేము గట్టెక్కగలం' అని వర్మ చెప్పారు.
అయితే, స్కాలర్ షిప్ బడ్జెట్ ను రూ. 75 లక్షల నుంచి కోటిన్నర రూపాయలకు పెంచడంతో ఈ సంస్థలకు కొంత ఉపశమనం లభించింది. 'ఒక విద్యార్థికి చెల్లించే స్కాలర్ షిప్ మొత్తం యథాతథంగా ఉంటుంది. కాని పెద్ద బడ్జెట్ వల్ల ఎక్కువ మంది విద్యార్థులు ప్రయోజనం పొందగలరు' అని సిఎఒ చెప్పారు.
