Megastar Scarifies His Pension For Poor
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shown nice gesture. Amitab has urged the Uttar Pradesh government to redirect the pension amount of Rs 50,000, which each member of his family was supposed to get every month to any noble charitable scheme.
Amitabh Bachchan along with his wife Jaya and son Abhishek Bachchan were selected for the Uttar Pradesh's new pension scheme for people awarded the Yash Bharti Samman. As part of that they were entitled to get 50,000 per month for life. Big B asked the officials to redirect the entire amount designated for his family to any notable cause.
The UP cabinet on Tuesday announced that all recipients of the state's highest honor Yash Bharti Samman. All the winners of the award will be eligible to receive an Rs 50,000 monthly pension for life. Yash Bharti Samman award is given to eminent persons belonging to the state in the fields of art, culture, sports, literature, medicine, journalism and social service. Big B family hailed from Alahabad of UP state.
