Ayyare faces HC order again Hyderabad: Justice L Narasimha Reddy of the AP High Court on Monday injuncted the Film Censor Board from granting Exhibition Certificate for the Telugu feature film Ayyare. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by P Shailendra. The petitioner claimed to voice the spiritual interest of Nityananda Swamy who he said was depicted poorly in the film. He would contend that the principle actor in the film Ayyare ' Rajendra Prasad was shown in the mould of Nityananda and the story line was styled to defame Nityananda.
Defamed in sex scandal with actress Ranjitha,Swami Nityananda slapped legal notices to 'Ayyare' movie unit asking them to stop filming the movie as it is damaging his reputation. AP High court earleir issued legal notices to Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Film censor board, to reply within four weeks to the concerns raised by Swami Nityananda against 'Ayyare' that potrayed him in poor light. Comedy King Rajendra Prasad is playing Swami Nityananda in 'Ayyare' and looks strikingly close to Nityananda's face.
Onbehalf of Nityanand the petitioner has submited the pictures of Rajendra Prasad in Nityananda get up and also press clippings where he claimed himself to be playing Nityananda character. Swami's lawyer told the court that if the film is released, it would damage the image of his client who is a religious guru and is worshipped by thousands of devotees world over. The petitioner included Rajendra Prasad and the producer of 'Ayyare' also as respondents in the petition.
