Love stories choose me: Siddharth
Hyderabad: The logo of the bilingual film, '180' starring Siddharth was launched recently at a city hotel. Directed by Jayendra, SPI Cinemas and Aghal Films are jointly producing this movie, with Nitya Menon and Priya Anand as the leading ladies. 'After 'Oye', I can vouch for the fact that the film has wonderful music. It is extraordinary,' said Siddharth, adding that the film is very contemporary in its treatment. 'The film will be admired by the youth. Jayendra has brought in beautiful visuals. America has been shot beautifully. It is a fresh story,' said Siddharth.
The film's visual appeal came in for praise by the cast of the film. 'I have done lot of films with Siddharth. He is a very sensitive actor. I enjoyed working in this film. It is the more visuals and less dialogue-oriented,' said actor Tanikella Bharani. The film shot in several scenic locales in Malaysia and United States is an out and out romantic entertainer. 'It is a romantic musical. With two heroines in the film, there is plenty of romance,' said director Jayendra.
'Love stories choose me,' says actor Siddharth on why he chooses to play the boy-next- door in most of his films. Currently wrapping up shooting for '180', which is being directed by Jayendra, the actor admits that love stories are his forte. 'I choose to do films such films. I chose to do '180' because it is full fledged romantic entertainer. It is a film about the youth,' says the actor adding that he loves working with new directors. 'My career graph shows that I have chosen to work with debutante directors. Besides, Jayendra has always been there for me as a mentor,' says Siddharth who aims at giving consistent performances with every film. 'I enact depending on the requirement of the role. So consistency is the key,' he says adding 'I am a very serious actor and take my job very seriously.'
The actor clearly does not get rattled by box-office failures. 'I do not believe in analyzing the reasons for the failure of a film. I enjoy all my films irrespective of how they fare at the box office. I learnt the dialect of the East Godavari district in 'Baava' which was wonderful. My performance in the film was also appreciated' says Siddharth. 'There are a few dream roles I would like to do but it is very personal. Nobody has offered me anything like it,' concludes Siddharth.
