When Isha Chawla's joke boomeranged!
Hyderabad: Isha Chawla is the latest starlet to make her debut in Telugu with Prema Kavali. A day before the film's release, she was asked by mediamen if she was related to actress Bhumika Chawla since they share the same last name. The actress, in a lighter vein, told them that she was indeed her sister. What she didn't realise was the journos had taken it seriously and dutifully noted her statement.
She realised the blunder when someone asked her what tips her sister offered before her entry into films. Soon, she had to go around the entire room and tell each and every journo that she had no connection with her namesake. Poor girl, she learnt it the hard way that not everyone understands a joke. The morale? Never crack a joke to a journalist!
