'Same person' behind sites defaming actors
A Hyderabadi living in Sydney is behind hosting the websites with objectionable content about film stars N. Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi, investigators have found. Police sources on Thursday said the investigation into a case registered following a complaint lodged by Mr. Balakrishna revealed the website as being hosted from Sydney, Australia. The person got the website hosted through 'Go Daddy', an Internet domain registrar and website hosting company.
Investigators stumbled upon evidence suggesting that the person who hosted the websites was in Hyderabad till 2007 before leaving for Australia. He initially hosted the website offending Chiranjeevi and then Balakrishna. The Cyber Crime police station of Hyderabad wrote to Go Daddy company seeking details of the person. 'Once the details are available, we can seek the help of Interpol to catch that person and bring him here for prosecution,' the police said.
