Dr Rajasekhar denies notice from police Hyderabad, March 18 (INN): Film actor Rajasekhar on Friday denied reports which appeared in a section of the media that he and his actress wife Jeevitha Rajasekhar have not paid dues amounting to Rs 1 lakh to the city police for the protection they were given.
Dr Rajasekhar told media persons at Jubilee Hills that the reports had claimed that he had been issued notice demanding payment of dues to the police department which had provided two personal security officers to guard them. These reports were baseless since they had not received any notices from the department, the actor stated.
Denying the media reports, Dr Rajasekhar said that there was no truth in the published reports and said that they would have paid any dues promptly. Some section of people, who had personal grudge against me have launched the malicious campaign, to tarnish my image politically, he alleged.
According to reports, the actor couple was given personal security officers to guard them after they alleged they were getting threats from the fans of Praja Rajyam Party president and fellow actor K Chiranjeevi during 2009 elections. The reports further stated that city security wing Deputy Commissioner of Police RB Nayak had sent 12 notices to the couple to pay the user fee for the protection amounting to Rs 91,508.
