Bipasha is all praise for Rana Hyderabad: Dusky Bengali bombshell Bipasha Basu was in town to promote her upcoming movie Dum Maro Dum. In a candid chat, the elegant actor talks about her movies, her rumoured tiffs with Deepika Padukone, her alleged linkups with actor RaNa and much more. The actor loves Hyderabad and can't stop gushing about the city. 'I miss eating the vegetarian South Indian thali and the biryani of Hyderabad. It's one my favourite cities; I like shopping here, especially the bangles from Charminar.'
About her role in Dum Maro Dum, she says, 'I am playing a character called Zoe who is an aspiring air-hostess and lives in Goa.' When asked about the rumours that she had found a new 3 am friend in RaNa, she replys, 'Even I heard the same thing, I cannot have a 3 am friend as I go to sleep at 12 am most of the time. But, yes, RaNa is a dear friend.' And she is all praises for her new friend. 'We had a really good time while shooting. It was tough for him to act in a Hindi movie after getting used to working in South movies. But he did a fabulous job.'
Though the actor has always been at her best in glam roles, she doesn't want to put too much emphasis on it. 'There are a few movies I am not proud of, but I like most of the films that I have done.' Dum Maro Dum has been in the news lately because of its controversial storyline ' of drugs, sex and crime, which more and more youngsters are indulging in these days. Bipasha, however, thinks that it's all about choices. 'We are born with brains and we should use them. Everyone knows how much harm it can do.'
The actor also briskly brushes off rumours of her alleged tiff with co-star Deepika Padukone over an item number. 'No, nothing like that happened,' she clarifies. The actor also professes her love for cricket and says, 'I was at Nagpur for the match, I hope they win against Australia.' Bipasha would also like to try her hand down South, but there is one problem. 'It's just that the language is so tough, but working with RaNa again would be fun,' she says.
The actor, however, refuses to discuss a certain John Abraham. 'I am not comfortable answering this question. Everyone has already made a big fuss on this topic,' she says.
