Shakti proves to be a dud Hyderabad: Jr. NTR's much hyped film 'Shakti' is all set to meet the destiny of Mahesh Babu's Khaleja. The film, according to trade pundits, is a sure dud and going to be a biggest box office disaster of 2011. Even hardcore fans of NTR are troubling to hide their disppointment after watching the film. The film was made with a 'never heard' budget of over Rs.40 crore. Now, producer Aswini Dutt has to come to terms in realsing the extent of disaster the film caused to his pocket.
Its really bizarre and every one wonders how NTR has accepted such a script on which the film is made. NTR who is known to be very particular about story line and the script of the film has caught on wrong foot with Shakti. The screen play of the film was horrendous. He reminded his uncle Balayya in all forms in this film. Director Meher Ramesh perhaps pampered the weakness of Junior NTR and made him sign SHAKTI on a whopping budget of Rs 40 crore.
After the release of 'Magadheera', NTR Jr. wanted something same on the lines of the film and so was impressed with the way Meher Ramesh narrated the script and the screenplay to him. But what he narrated was a copy of a Hollywood movie 'Chasing liberty' which had a similar storyline, with lots of difference in the second half. He acted in the movie, which had neither the songs nor the storyline as worthy of talking and is said to be a sure shot flop of this year 2011.
Telugu cinema audiences are laughing at the illogical storyline of the movie. With the kind of disaster Shakti is going to make director Meher Ramesh has no other option but to run away to other languages, as no producer will dare to fund him from now.
