Heros falling for Magadheera 'sword' Hyderabad: 'Magadheera' was a super hit movie, if not a blockbuster. Ram Charan Teja got immense praise and hype in the whole south India with the movie. Ram Charan carrying a sword and fighting with 100 soldiers was a highlight in the movie.
Now, the same is being copied in tollywood by various big heroes. Siddharth came up with his 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' which had a similar sword fighting episode. Junior NTR in his latest 'Shakti' proved the same by handling and meddling with the sword in few scenes.
Then it is Allu Arjun in his yet to release 'Badrinath' movie. Ravi Teja will be seen in the role of a king and with a sword, for few scenes in the movie VEERA. Prince Mahesh Babu will be seen in the role of a Chola King in his Telugu version of Mani Ratnam film, which is likely titled as 'Veerudu'. Prabhas will soon sign a movie, which will witness his brother's close friend as a director and the movie is said to partially show him as a king.
So, in all these films, the sword episode is common and the heroes are looking to break the record of Ram Charan Teja. Out of all these the first two films mentioned above of Junior NTR and Siddharth were super flops of this decade. The next may also likely meet the same fate, if a proper storyline, innovative presentation and good music are not tagged with the sword sentiment.
The concluding note is that the movie 'Magadheera' was not a hit due to Ram Charan flashing the sword in his hand. But it was due to innovative script, lavish presentation and proper star cast. It is better, if the young heroes keep this fact in mind, before committing to movies.
