'Nenu, Na Rakshasi': stars flock audio release Hyderabad: Being different and coming up with innovations is a challenge that one has to face in any profession. However, the drive towards being different is more so in the field of entertainment, where filmmakers have to pull off every trick they can just to be noticed.
Now it was the turn of ace director Puri 'Jagan' Jagannadh, who teamed up with Nallamalapu 'Bujji' Srinivas under the production banner of Lakshmi Prasanna, to come under the spotlight at the audio release of 'Nenu, Naa Rakshasi', featuring Ileana D'Cruz and Rana Daggubati, here on Sunday.
The film's audio tracks were released at the HICC here as part of a function which looked more like a reality show. The event, though, had the look and feel of a popular Page 3 party with people walking in, shaking hands and hugging each other in a gesture of party-pooper's affection.
Popular television hostess Jhansi invited director Puri Jagan and producer Bujji to take the hot seat along with the crew which included stars such as Gopichand, Subbaraju and music directors Vishwa and Rehman. The guests included producer D. Suresh Babu, directors Shekhar Kammula, V.V. Vinayak, and stars 'Victory' Venkatesh, 'Maska' Ram and comedian-turned-hero Sunil, Lakshmi Manchu, and Richa Gangopadhyaya.
Puri Jagan said he was sure of the film finding favour with the audience because of that the combination of stars and technicians and the way the story was woven together. Asked to describe his movie in one sentence, Puri Jagan quipped, 'A love story of a professional killer and a 'rakshasi' (devil),' going on to say that Rana was shown in a different light when compared to his role in 'Leader'. 'Is suicide a permanent solution for a temporary problem,' was the key thought behind the film, the director said.
