Shriya's starry tantrums Chennai:Known for her killer body and sensuous moves, actor Shriya Saran, is now notorious for her starry airs. At the launch of National Geographic's Tamil channel held recently in Chennai, photographers had a tough time taking her pictures, as she refused to pose for more than a few minutes.
'No more photographs, please! I'm already done posing and my skin is allergic to camera flashes,' she said and rebuffed all the photographers who were furiously clicking away. So why does she come for events, if she doesn't want to be photographed?
To top it all, reporters had to struggle to get a few sound bytes from the actress. It is indeed ironic that Shriya, who can hardly speak Tamil, was picked to launch a Tamil channel. When a question was asked whether she knew to speak the language, the svelte beauty curtly said, 'I can understand it,' busy fiddling with her mobile phone!
Even at the 'Markandeyan' audio release, Shriya's behaviour had a lot of tinsel town frowning. She was seen chummying up to Salman Khan, who was in Chennai for the audio launch.
Pretending not to notice that her name was called twice for her to give a speech, the actress continued chatting. A certain section of the audience, thoroughly enjoying the drama, said, 'If only her name were called a third time, it would be equivalent to a courtroom address!'
Considering her lackluster career-graph that has dipped to an all-time low, it seems Shriya just can't let go of her attitude. The last time she gave a hit film was in 2006, with the Rajini-starrer, 'Sivaji'The Boss'. Since then, she has been delivering duds like 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan', 'Chikku Bukku', 'Thoranai' and the Vikram-starrer 'Kandasamy'. A piece of advice Shriya! Hit or flop, humility never hurt anyone.
