Meera Jasmine gets court summons The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court (CJM) in Khozikode issued summons to South Indian actress Meera Jasmine in a case filed by producer - director KA Devarajan, alleging that the actress had taken an advance of Rs.5 lakh from him to do the film Swapnamalika, but failed to honour the commitment.
Meera Jasmine approached the Kerala High Court, pleading that she should be granted exemption from making a personal appearance in the court on the summons issued by CJM, but the HC rejected her appeal and asked her to be present in the court on or before August 8. Meera's argument in the case is that after signing the contract, Devarajan changed the story and started making the film with another heroine.
