When Vinayak thought of quitting films Hyderabad: Film industry is one where fortunes turn turtle overnight. Instance like actors and directors reach the sky and celebreties fall way ward over night. Ace director VV Vinayak's is the latest episode, he almost decided to quit the films when he heard about the first talk about his magnum opus film Badrinath with Allu Arjun as hero as soon as it releases.
Vinayak himself revealed how he went through moments of disgust and trauma soon after he heard of the initial talk about Badrinath. Speaking at 50 days celebration of the film held recently in Hyderabad, Vinayak narrated how he went into a depression after he hearh about the talk soon after the release of high budget movie Badrinath.
'I even contempalted quitting movies if Badrinath bombed at the box office. But things turned to my favour in three days and I am overwhelmed with the way the audience have received the movie. We overshot the budget by Rs.5 crore, but just the songs seem to have earned back most of it' said Vinayak with an emotionally choked voice.
He recounted his long association with the producer Allu Aravind and said he is happy that he could give back a hit movie to him. Tamannah said she was thankful to Allu Aravind for giving her the opportunity to act in the movie although she did not have too many hits to her credit by then.
Speaking on the occassion, producer Allu Aravind said, 'We did not imagine that Badrinath will be such a success even three days after the movie released'. 'After D Suresh Babu called me on the third day congratulating me about how well the movie has turned up, the movie's collections also picked up pace' said Aravind adding, as a producer i always expect good returns on my investment. For Badrinath, I only wanted Bunny (Allu Arjun) to be portrayed in a good image.' Allu Arjun talking about the success of his movie said 'My Dad is not just a great dad. He is a great producer too' he added.
