Yes, socio-fantasy flicks with Yama as the protagonist are back with a vengeance. The movies have tickled the audiences with a great storyline, social messages about mankind, a bit of grandhikam and even an item song with the celestial beauties.
Ace Director S S Rajamouli, who tasted commercial success with the blockbuster Yamadonga proved that socio-fantasy flicks are as commercially viable as action movies.
Even five years after the movie released, people remember Mohan Babu, who played Yama in the movie and his unique dialogue delivery. Yamadonga gave a double dose of Yama with NTR also playing the same role. Actor Srikanth was also well appreciated when he played Yama in Yama Gola Malli Modalaindi.
Now, actor Srihari is donning the role of Yama in the upcoming movie Yamaho Yama. The movie will be about the funny situations which arise when Lord Yama goes to the US.
