Srirama Rajyam audio launched Bhadrachalam: The audio function of Srirama Rajyam was held enthusiastically here on Monday. Releasing audio cassette, actor Balakrishna gifted the first CDs to the Sri Ramalayam temple chief priest Podicheti Jagannathacharyulu and deputy chief priest P Seetharamacharyulu and later to Bapu, Akkineni, Ilayaraja and Srikanth amidst claps of the fans.
Speaking on the occasion, Srirama Rajyam director Bapu said that the film has given new spirit and vigour to him. 'I am fully satisfied with the action of all the actors in the film', he said. Balakrishna said, 'My father was highest option to Rama character and I have some inhibition in enacting the role'. He said that the great director Bapu shaped him for it by persistent efforts.
Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who played Valmeeki role said that any professional should find weaknesses in him first. He said that he played Rama role in initial stages, but dropped after NTR came to the screen. 'Though I am 87 years now, my mind is working as 20 year old youth', he said.
Srikanth said that the role of Laxmana in the film has given a great impetus to him. He said that working with Bapu and Balakrishna is a great experience. Ilaya Raja, music composer, Nayanthara, writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, actor and Nagineedu were also among those who attended the function.
Earlier, Balakrishna performed pooja by offering new CDs to Lord Rama.
