Vishwah: The Jack of All Trades Hyderabad: Music composer, singer, lyricist, dubbing artiste, guitarist' Vishwah Vemuri - is the multi-faceted man who has a finger in every pie. He has scored tunes for the chartbaster 'Paditinammo' from Nenu Na Rakshasi. As a dubbing artiste, he has lent his voice to Bollywood actors such as Abhimanyu Singh and Rahul Dev in Telugu movies.
Remember the inspiring lyrics from Athadu - 'Penu tufaanu talonchi chuse toli nippu kanam atade'' Vishwa is the lyricist. Some in the industry call him as bridge between old literature and latest literature.
His lyrics are known to be an amalgamation of erstwhile literature and modern literature. But he is so friendly and down-to-earth person. His simple and colloquial language seems to be his USP.
Excerpts from an exclusive interview:
Tell us about yourself and your debut into the industry.
My association with music started when I was three years old. I had sung poems and that grabbed the attention of theatre artiste Nemalikanti Radhakrishna Murthy when I was six.
With his encouragement, I debuted as a child actor in a play Mugimpu leni Katha and played varied roles in varied plays. I also bagged the best child actor award from Andhra Kala Parishad.
Then I turned my focus on studies. I completed my Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University. During my engineering, I found that it's not my cup of tea. The artiste in me provoked me towards movies.
Mani Sharma produced an album Masti with me. Priyadarshini is my debut movie. RP Patnaik gave me a break through Santosham movie. I wrote Mehabooba'Mehabooba song, which got tremendous response.
Have you learnt music?
Yes I have. I have learnt Western Classical. I can write in Telugu, English and Hindi.
What are your current projects?
I am composing music for an untitled movie for a big production house. I am writing the lyrics for Ram Charan's Rachcha and Siddarth's Oh My Friend.
Tell us about your century movie Dookudu.
I wrote title song for Dookudu. I am so happy to pen the lyrics for Mahesh. As you all know, I penned the lyrics for Athadu title song which was huge hit. The song in Dookudu talks about the character played Mahesh. I am confident Mahesh's fans will be happy with the lyrics.
