Shraddha is in love with Hyderabad About her new movie Mugguru:
The character I play is of a rich and arrogant girl. It is an out and out commercial potboiler and you can see me dancing around the trees and singing with the hero. It is a movie made by Ramanaidu production, so you can expect a quality entertainer.
Future projects:
I have also signed for Lakshmi Kalyanam and I play a police cop in it. The film has lots of action and I will get to do some thrilling stunts and action sequences. This is my first action role ever since I started my career as with Siddhu from Srikakulam in 2008. I am also entering Kannada industry with Hosa Prema Purana.
About Tollywood:
The movie industry is very unpredictable. There are people who have been around for a decade but have not tasted success and there are newcomers who soar up within two movies. I am lucky to get roles that have won me instant recognition. Be it Shanti in Arya-2 or Geeta in Nagavalli, I have got noticed and bagged better roles. I am lucky that good roles have come to me.
Her best role so far:
My character Geeta in Nagavalli. It is a horror drama with a big start cast including Venkatesh, Anushka, Kamalinee Mukherjee and others. I played a character with negative shades. I speak a lot through my facial expressions and body language. It was a challenging character. The most difficult role was of a Radio Jockey in the Hindi film Dil To Bachcha He Ji. I had to learn radio jockeying, handling the console and other things necessary to play an RJ.
Tollywood Vs Bollywood:
The Telugu film industry is disciplined and works at a brisk pace with a goal and deadline in mind. Here, movies are made in 35-40 days while Hindi movies can stretch for longer durations.
Hyderabad Vs Mumbai:
Hyderabad has become my first home now. I have work, a life, friends and goodwill here. I rarely miss Mumbai.
Chilling out:
I have read Eat, Pray and Love recently and watched the movie too. The movie was better than the book. I also travel a lot, both on work and otherwise. After watching Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, I am eager to go to Spain. In India, I like Kodaikanal. In Hyderabad, my favourite hangout is Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills where I spend time with friends.
