Review: Nenu Nanna Abaddam - Bore and Sore Hyderabad: Nenu Nanna Abaddam desperately tries to fall in the genre of films like Premisthe and the sense of realism which the film tries to achieve fails to live up to its promise. The movie is about young lovers who are separated from each other after a 'shocking' truth is revealed about the girl's identity.
Kiran (Nandu) lives with his father who is a cobbler and he happens to meet Abhi (Divya), a servant in the village headman's house. As they develop feelings for each other, their relationship is threatened when the village headman finds out about their affair.
The problem is that the village headman is highly protective of Abhi which leads everyone to believe that he lusts for Abhi.
One day, Kiran and Abhi elope from their village and after an extensive search they are found. When the village headman's son agrees to Abhi's aspiration to marry Kiran, a 'dark' secret is revealed which shocks everyone.
How this secret changes the lives of everyone in the family, especially Nandu and Abhi forms the rest of the story. The film's main problem is its casting. Nandu is too handsome for a cobbler and Divya too na've to play her role. Everyone hams it up even when it's not necessary and after a point of time the film turns out to be a badly written and shot film.
There's a scene where Abhi asks Kiran to not hang on the coin-box phone because she's thirsty! And in another scene, another actress, who lusts for Kiran, asks him to spend a night with her. Scenes like these are plenty in the film.
The only silver lining in the film is Chinni Charan's music and the film does have couple of good songs. A low budget film cannot be an excuse why it's been so badly shot where the sun reflectors used don't serve any purpose.
It would have been nice if the film unit had a decent make-up department, because lets face it, it's not a pretty film! Govind Varaha, who has written the dialogues, story and screenplay apart from directing the film, borrows scenes from films of similar genre.
Nenu Nanna Abaddam is like a school play where everyone tries to catch the attention. Truth is, nothing works in this film.
