Sneha Ullal prefers a psycho killer role
Hyderabad: Sneha Ullal, the official 'lucky mascot' of Tollywood is on a high these days. After a guest appearance in Ala Modalaindi earlier this year, she now has a full-length heroine role in Madatha Khaja opposite Allari Naresh.
'Naresh never ever shows heroism in the sets. He is cool, but very shy. He refused romance with me during the filming. I asked the director for romance between me and Naresh in Madatha Khaja . More than a co-star, he is my friend,' she said.
Her gentle face belies her ambition. Believe it or not, Sneha Ullal, the Aishwarya Rai look-alike, wants to play the role of a .
'I am nervous before every movie. Be it my debut film Lucky, opposite superstar Salman Khan. But with Madatha Khaja , I have never felt so. I feel super confident about the success of the movie.
I cannot really pinpoint why I feel so strongly about the success of the movie, but I know the movie has a positive vibe which I can feel. I am a very spiritual person and I can feel the success vibe even before the release,' she adds.
About the long gap she said, 'My last movie was Simha with Balakrishna last year. I took a long gap because I suffer from a bad backache. I was advised rest, but I can never resist the temptation of movies. So I am back to what I love the most ' films. In fact I enjoyed shaking a leg in Madatha Khaja and showcase my dancing skills.
'So far, I've never really got an opportunity to fully showcase my talent or focus on myself as an actress. For the movie, the focus was on me and I enjoyed giving my 100 % per cent to the movie. I want to get fully involved in my movies from now.
'I have seen that Naresh is one of the few stars who does not mind sharing equal screen time with a heroine and give her an equal footage.
I have seen that he also does not have any airs about being the hero. On other sets, I've often seen people and the movie crew bend backwards when the 'hero' walks in. But with Naresh, everybody is cool and treat him as a buddy, someone of their own ilk.
Sneha says she is a romantic girl by nature. But the movie did not seem to have many such scenes so she actually asked director Seetaramaraju if he could include some.
'Iam not a diplomatic person, but to survive in the industry one needs to be fake, or as people say, diplomatic . I like to be the way I am and not put up any fake act.' She is frank enough to admit she has no movies in the pipeline. 'But luckily, things always fall in place for me,' signs of the beautiful girl.
