My directors will beat me up: NTR Hyderabad: The Young Tiger, who is busy promoting his new movie Oosaravelli, says if the sentiment that an injury on the sets of his movie will ensure a hit is true, he would be at the receiving end
About the movie:
Oosaravelli [meaning chameleon] is an apt title and does not have a negative connotation. This Oosaravelli does not change colours, but changes lives. Incidentally, the movie is not a hero-centric movie.
I hope it will create a new trend where heroines will take the centre stage. My role is humorous. I tried comedy with Chary role in Adhurs and the success of the movie gave me the confidence that I do have a good comic timing.
About co-star Tamannah:
It took more than two months to finalise the heroine. The story has equal footage to the lady lead. In fact, the heroine is the pivotal point of the movie. Tamannah has done justice to the role. I cried after watching her role in the movie.
About director Surender Reddy:
This is my second movie with Surender Reddy, first being Ashok. I can see a lot of change in his style of filming. He is more mature today than when he debuted.
Favourite song:
Nenate Naku is my favourite. So is Batakali, a visually outstanding song, which talks about what a boy can do for a girl.
Sweet memory:
I got injured during the filming of song Dandiya. I had an injury to my last finger of hand.
About the sentiment that an injury in shooting means a hit film:
(Laughs out loud) If that is true, my directors and producers will start beating me with sticks during filming to ensure I am injured as it will mean a hit for them. Just kidding.
Upcoming films:
Dhammmu with Boyapati seenu, an untitled movie with Srinu Vaitla and Puri Jagannath.
Parting Shot:
I hope Dasara will work out for me as my previous hits - Student No1 and Brindaavanam also released on this auspicious day.
