Film releases spaced to gain business Hyderabad: Timing is making sense in films as well. Earlier it was only in sports that timing was considered very valuable. With big budget films and Young Turks coming up with movies, instead of building up competition among the stars, with the use of fans associations, a neat compromise formula has been worked out as it appears from the space of the date of release.
NTR's big budget film Oosaravelli waited for two weeks for Mahesh Babu's magnum opus Dookudu to complete its steam and was shown in more number of screens and netted expected returns. With the money back policy working well, it is now time for partying and celebrations in both the camps.
The success of Dookudu was celebrated at HICC and Mahesh flew down from Mumbai to attend the function taking time off from his Businessman shooting. The entire cast and crew--- Mahesh, Samantha, Nasser, Subbaraju, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sonia, Pragati, Sudha, Tanikella Bharani, Srinu Vytla, writers Kona Venkat, Gopimohan, Music director Thaman and producers Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta attended the event.
Senior star Krishna and Vijaynirmala attended as chief guests to the event along with producers Shyam Prasad Reddy, D Suresh Babu, K L Narayana and others to congratulated Dookudu team. The film has turned out to be the second highest grosser in Telugu film industry, after Magadheera.
Coming to the spacing and timing of releases, Pilla Zamindar and Telugammai will be released on October 14 besides a dubbing film 7th Sense.
After the sweep of collections by Oosaravilli and Dookudu, comes the big picture Bezawada of Nagachaitanya in November first week. Gopichnd, Tapsee starrer Mogudu is slated for release on November 4.
After the Akkineni clan, comes the Nandamuri Balakrishna's film Srirama Rajyam on November 10 and on merits, it appears, Daggubati family will release Venkatesh starrer Ganga-The Bodyguard.
