Chiru unveils Satya-2 multiplex in Nellore
Nellore Oct 12: Tirupati MLA K.Chiranjeevi, UB group chairman Vijay Malya, Rajya Sabha member Nedurumilli Janardhan Reddy inaugurated the multiplex theaters 'Satya-2 here on Wednesday. The three theaters were re-constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore with latest technology, RDX digital system, first of its kind in India was introduced.
It was recalled that 30 years ago late Ongole MP Magunta Subbarami Reddy had constructed Raghava thretares in one complex, first of its kind in the state, called Krishna, Kaveri, Kalyani. They were inaugurated by Vital Malya father of Vijaya Malya, late Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. After three decades Ongole MP Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy had built Satya-2 by replacing the three threaters.
While recalling his childhood days in Nellore, MLA K.Chiranjeevi said that 35years ago when he went to watch late NTR starrer film 'Ramu' in Seshamahal floor ticket (nela ticket) by paying 40 paise along with his brother Nagabau, he had bitter experience as both brothers were crushed under the stampede in the queue even they feel difficult to breath, but lickily saved.
However, after some years late Magunta Subbarama Reddy constructed the Kalyani, Kaveri, Krishna, they instantly become pride of the Nellore for they having wonderful facilities to enjoy the films. Again after 31 years MP Sreenivasulu Reddy had taken steps for providing enjoyment to the people at cheaper rates.
Recalling his association with late Magunta Subbararami Reddy, former Chief Minister N.Janardhan Reddy said if Subbarami Reddy would have alive, definitely he would have become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh as he was the rarest politician in the AP politics.
Former MP T.Subbarami Reddy assured that he would constructed an AC auditorium with cost of Rs 12 crores apart from a bus shelters and choultry each costs Rs 2 crores in Nellore very soon.
Liquor baron Malya lauded the Magunta family for their initiation in constructing iconic theaters in Nellore. Tirupati MP Chintha Mohan, state ministers D.Manikyavara Prasad, Pithani Satyanarayana, BJP senior leader M.Venkaiah Naidu, MLA Sreedhar Krishna Reddy, Collector B.Sreedhar and others were present.
