T activists stall Naga Chaitanya's film shooting Hyderabad, Oct 14 (INN): Young Turk, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya tasted the heat of Telangana movement on Friday as the agitators stalled the shooting of his film 'Autonagar Surya'.
While the film's shooting was in progress at Chinna Shapoor village on the outskirts of the city, a group of Telangana activists surrounded the film unit and raised 'Jai Telangana' slogans.
Amidst confusion and sloganeering the shooting was halted and the unit left the spot on demand. The film is based on the bad boys of Vijayawada.
Earlier, film shootings of Manchu Manoj, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, Allu Arjun and others were stopped by Telangana activists in and around Hyderabad as some people in the film industry had favoured integrationist stand.
This was sorted out by the then chief minister K Rosaiah brokering peace with the two groups. However, this time around Tollywood expressed solidarity with the Telangana movement by calling for a two day closure of films.
