Siddharth, Sruthi croons for Oh My Friend
Hyderabad: It's official. Actor Siddharth and Shruthi Haasan are not just stars, they are singing stars too. The duo regaled the audiences with their live performances at the audio launch of their upcoming movie Oh My Friend at Shilpakalavedika.
It was a novelty to watch the stars ' who usually lip sync to songs on the celluloid ' sing aloud their own song on stage, live. While Shruthi is a trained singer and her rendition was on expected lines, Siddharth was a surprise package.
Shruthi has proved her singing prowess with movies such as Luck. Siddharth had already proved his talent with Bommarillu. However, this was perhaps his first live performance on stage!
The crowd was in splits when Shruthi addressed her co-star Siddharth as 'garu'. Siddharth, incidentally, spoke about Hansika being a 'sweet' co-star.
Producer Dil Raju interacted with the audience and dedicated the audio to late music composer Anil Reddy. Rahul Raj, music director of the movie, was gracedthe event.
