Prakash Raj's 'Dhoni' getting ready Hyderabad: After Lagaan and Chak De India, sports hardly jell well with films. But character actor Prakash Raj thinks differently and is bringing out a film with cricket as a backdrop and he aptly named it Dhoni.
This is a story of a father who dreams that his son should be a topper in studies while the son dreams of becoming a cricketer. The contrasting characters form the storyboard of the film Dhoni which has completed its first schedule.
The film was shot in Pondicherry for the past few days and the unit was happy with the output. Prakash Raj, Akash, Radhika Apte, Nazar, Brahmanandam are playing lead roles in the film.
Prakash Raj, who played the father's role to perfection in the film Bommarillu where he tries to impose his will on is son without caring for the youngster's wishes, will be making his debut as director in Telugu with this film.
The film is produced in Tamil and Telugu as well and the character actor is producing the film as well under Duet Movies banner.
