Surgery successful, Actor Manorama in ICU
CHENNAI: Actor Manorama on Tuesday underwent a successful surgery for removal of a bloodclot on her forehead, in a private hospital at Teynampet. Still in the critical care unit, she is expected to be shifted to the normal ward after three days.
'Her vital parameters are normal, but she is still on ventilator support owing to lung congestion,' said the actor's son Bhoopathy. The surgery is said to have lasted over an hour.
Film artistes have been requested to avoid meeting the actor in hospital, he said and added actors Kamal Haasan, Anushka and Senthil have met her. Manorama was admitted on Deepavali following complaints of a severe headache.
