Balayya 'Viswaroopaniki Varasudu' Hyderabad: There is only one family in the world that can portray mythological characters. It is none other than the Nandamuris! It's not a praise.
It's a fact,' said veteran actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao at the audio success meet of Sri Ramarajyam held at Taj Deccan.
Noted personalities, who graced the event, paid tributes to late Mullapudi Venkata Ramana, who penned the story for the movie.
Bigwigs recalled 'Viswavikyata Natasarvabhouma' NTR on this occasion and named Nandamuri Bala Krishna (NBK) as his 'Varasudu' (inheritor) in portraying mythological roles. He was unanimously hailed as the 'Viswaroopaniki Varasudu'.
ANR unveiled Balakrishna's first look as Lord Sri Rama, in the movie. Director K Raghavendra Rao released the second look of the same. Senior actor M Balayya released the Sri Ramarajyam calender.
'I won't spare anybody who doubts the talent and prowess of the Telugu directors and artistes. Should they challenge us, I won't hesitate in breaking their teeth,' said the angry 'Yuvaratna' Nandamuri Balakrishna.
'Sri Ramarajyam is a blend of with Telugu culture, tradition, heritage and nativity. Each and every Telugu on the globe should watch this film to show their solidarity towards mother tongue.'
NBK addressed ANR as 'Babai' throughout the function and grabbed attention of many! Lyricist Jonnavittula said: 'Since sixteen years, about 2000 Telugu films were filmed and released but not even a single movie was a mythological film.
This showcases that where we stand. It's the responsibility of us to watch the movie and to rake in Rs 100 crore collections for a mythological film like this.' The whole event held in grandeur manner and guests who graced the event termed Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja was termed as hero of the function.
