Bury hatchet, Chiranjeevi style Hyderabad, Nov 2 (INN): It is like trying to burry an old hatchet. Two top heroes, Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi, who along with their fans vied with each other at every given occasion-- be it a new release, a social or a political event, have nearly crossed swords but the controversy seems to be buried with some matured comments by the latter.
The trouble started with Balakrishna passing some harsh remarks against a young hero, who was in all praise for a Tamil director.
The young hero is supposed to be Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja, who said that Tollywood lacks good directors like Murugadoss of 7th Sense fame.
Balakrishana during the audio success function of Sri Rama Rajyam lashed out at the young star, without naming him.
'I won't spare anybody who doubts the talent and prowess of the Telugu directors and artistes. Should they challenge us, I won't hesitate in breaking their teeth,' said the angry 'Balakrishna.
'Aditya 369 and Bhairava Dweepam are some of the films which have extraordinary direction values and youngsters do not know the history,' was how Balakrishna reacted. Normally, the Nandamuri scion is a soft spoken person at any pubic dais.
Putting an end to the controversy, Chiranjeevi said, 'Balakrishna is a senior actor. His statements are completely acceptable. For everything we have good and bad.
I did not listen to his comments, I don't know what his real intention behind those statements is and whom they are directed at. If he made any statements on any young hero, whoever it is, taking his experience into consideration, we have to respect those and comments should be sensible. However, he should not avoided using that harsh language'.
Though the reaction came two days after Balakrishna's outburst, it gives enough space to put the matter at rest. While both Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna have a political stint as well.
Chiranjeevi floated his own political party and later merged with Congress and represents Tirupati in the Assembly. Balakrishna goes with TDP, founded by his father NTR, and campaigned for the party during the previous elections.
