Prince Mahesh Babu in Times list Hyderabad: Mahesh Babu is Prince, no doubt, as far as Tollywood and its millions of frivolous fans are concerned. After the grand success of Dookudu (as its makers claimed), Mahesh Babu seems to have become a 'global star'. He has ranked 12th in the Times list of 50 Most Desirable Men for the year 2010.
It was an occasion to rejoice for the astonishing commercial success of Dookudu. Amidst great fanfare, the success of Dookudu was celebrated on November 12 in Vijayawada.
Dookudu has been playing in over 400 theaters across the State. The producer claims that the film has surpassed all the previously held records in about 312 centres. Dookudu collected Rs 101 cr as of November 11which marked the 50th day of the release of the flick.
'Be it in the number of centres in which the film was released on September 23, the first day openings (put at more than Rs 12 crore) or total gross and total share, Dookudu is the biggest film in the history of Telugu cinema,' producer Sunkara Anil said.
The function was attended by Mahesh Babu, Superstar Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala and other crew members, besides K Raghavendra Rao, Sukumar, Puri Jagannath and others.
