Sri Ramarajyam premier show ticket sold for $5,000 in NJ
New Jersy: Jitendra Atluri, an NRI and an ardent fan of Balakrishna shocked everyone by buying a ticket of Sri Ramarajyam premier show for $5,000 that set a record of sorts in the Tollywood.
Atlrui who belongs to Nuzivid of Krishna district lives in New Jersey, USA and this astronomical sum for one ticket has come as a big surprise even for trade pundits.
Its not the fisrt time that Atluri setting a new record, earlier too he bought an axe used by Balakrishna in his box office hit film Simha for Rs.5.2 lakh in an auction. He did this to help realise the motive of Balaiah to hep poor and elderly artists of cienema industry.
Having launched his own business venture, Horizin' software consulting company, Atluri is a successful business man in New Jersey. Soon, it is learnt, that he is venturing into power projects in India.
Srini Vunnava of Blue Sky has bought overseas as well as DVD rights of Nandamuri Balakrishna's magnum opus SriRamarajyam. The film will be screened in three improtant theaters of New Jersey.
Of late it has become a trend in the US to auction tickets for movie premieres; however a ticket being sold for such a large amount might very well be a record. Balakrishna and Nayanthara are playing lead roles in this film which opens in screens on November 17.
Bapu has directed the film and Venkataramana has written the script. Yalamanchili Saibaba has produced it and Ilayaraja has composed the music for this film.
