RGV to make Ramayana in his 'own style' Hyderabad: Dasaratha Rao is the owner of Ayodhya group of Industries. Kousalya is his spouse. He accidentally meets Kaikeyi Aggarwal when he visits Mumbai on an office work' so goes the script of the maverick director's upcoming film
Controversy king Ram Gopal Varma has raked in yet another controversy by stating that he wants to remake epic Ramayana in his 'own style'. In a media statement, he said: 'I've often analysed why people respect Ramayana.
After having listened to it many times, I have wondered how it would be if Ramayana were to happen right here right now in Hyderabad. This is what inspired me to think of remaking it,' he stated.
The statement further reads: 'Dasaratha Rao is the owner of Ayodhya Group of Industries. Kousalya is his spouse. He accidentally meets Kaikeyi Aggarwal when he visits Mumbai on office work.
Dasaratha marries her and she turns into his second wife. On one of their conversations, he will promise Kaikeyi that he would give the rights of the ownership to Bharath Kumar, son of Kaikeyi.'
'Ram Shankar is the elder son of Dasaratha Rao, who always toes the line of his father. Dasaratha Rao hands over his main company to Bharath and wants Ram Shankar to take care of a sick unit.
Ram gears up for the responsibility and soon his brother Lakshman Shankar, follows his footsteps,' the 49-year-old director added. Explaining about the antagonist in the movie, he said: 'Lanka Group of Industries is the rivalry group (competitor) to Ayodhya Group of Industries.
Ravan Raj is the owner of Lanka Group of Industries, Bheeshan Raj is his brother and Soorpana is her sister. The movie will contain the conflicts between the two groups. ' However, the cast and crew of the untitled movie were not revealed.
Incidentally, RGV had previously made RGV ki Aag, his own take on the yesteryear blockbuster Sholay which turned out to be a big disaster at the box-office.
