Rajinikanth's Rana put on hold Hyderabad: Deepika Padukone starrer Rana is put on backburner and the space is taken Kochadaiyan, the film which will be using performance capture technology for the first time.
Soundarya Rajinikanth, who was supposed to co-produce Rana along with Eros International, has announced that Rajinikanth will be working in the film. Capture technology or motion tracking is a technology used to record the movement and translate it on to digital model.
Cameron and Steven Spielberg have used this technology to make films like Avatar and Tintin respectively. KS Ravikumar will be directing the film that is jointly produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth, Eros International.
Soundarya said that Rajinikanth will start working on Rana only after the release of Kochadaiyaan which is scheduled for release in August 2012.
