Devasthanam bid to revive Harikatha Hyderabad: Hrikatha, the oldest form of storytelling in the State, will have a special focus in the film Devastham in which K Viswanath and SP Balasubrahmanyam, the two big names of Tollywood, are playing as brothers.
Audio of the film is slated for release on December 16 while the film will be released on January 26. The film has five songs and two Harikahta's which will come in the second part of the film. Swaraveenapani scored music for the film.
Viswanath, who is known for his penchant for reviving declining values and traditions, will be seen in the lead role in the film who dedicates his life for the development of the temple and infusing devotion in the people in various forms.
SP Balasubrahmanyam plays the younger brother who is always supportive to his elder sibling and they are in real life cousins as well.
Amani, the quintessential housewife of yesteryear's, plays as wife of SPB and has a good supportive role. The movie comes under the Sarvejana Sukhinobhavantu Films banner and is produced by Shravani and Sharvani.
Kovai Sarala, Nayar Raman, Sri Sandhya, Saraswati Pradeep, Niharika are part of the cast.
