Hyderabad: In the land of rising sons, Tollywood heroes are searching for new roles, leaving the lover boy and action hero roles to their kin, so it appears going by the latest trend.

Chiranjeevi has taken to the saviour's role ever since his next generation came into the lime light. Nagarjuna and Venkatesh are in the same frame of mind going by the characters they are playing.

NTR and ANR had no such problems as there was a lot of gap and they had a long stint before their kids entered the filmdom.

For Nagarjuna, his son Naga Chaitanya hogged the lights in mid-twenties and could keep going first as a student, lover and then gangster.

It is believed that some of the heroines refused to act with Nagarjuna as the third generation star is in the field.

Venkatesh, who graduated from family roles to action packed characters, has come of age had to yield some ground to his brother's son RaNa.

He played the role of Police Commissioner in Eenadu, the remake of A Wednesday. The role was played by Anupam Kher in the original Hindi version.

The latest picture he has agreed to, goes the buzz, is Swami Vivekananda. Donning the role of the philosopher, it remains to be seen how Venkatesh, with his penchant of humour, will be a thrilling job.
