Writers fined for using coffee mugs in toilet Hyderabad, Dec 9 (INN): When in Rome, be like a Roman - so goes the adage. May be, our Tollywood writers who knew not this maxim landed in trouble.
It could be raw nativity or gross negligence, but two Tollywood writers were fined $ 500 each for not using tissue paper in the toilet in New York. Instead, they opted for coffee mugs which were taken as an offence by the house keeper in the far flung city.
The writers in question are Kona Venkat and BVS Ravi. They were taken to New York by Manchu Vishnu for a story session. Mohan Babu and family were in New York for the new arrivals in Manchu family and Vishnu became the proud father of baby twins.
During that time, the two writers had used coffee mugs instead of toilet paper and angry housekeeper fined them and Mohan Babu, staying next door, had to bail them out. The incident was narrated by Mohan Babu himself.
I had to bail them out of the housekeeping lady's ire and pay the fine. Love u both for the coffee mug incident., he tweeted.
They were fined 500$ because they r not used to toilet papers after natures call and they used the coffee mug in the room to wash, Mohan Babu said in the second tweet.
Vishnu brought @konavenkat and @bvsravi to New York for story sitting and both of them are in my neighboring room. Funny incident today, the new grandfather said in the opening tweet dated Dec 8.
The old man of Manchu family was keeping developments back home abreast and congratulated Virendra Sehwag for his tremendous feat of double century in the third one day where the home side posted its highest ever 418.
Wow! Sehwag! congratulations. Please apologize to the WI team for abusing them so badly! Mohan Babu, tweeted.
