Samantha in trouble
Hyderabad: Telugu film producer Bellamkonda Suresh has lodged a complaint against Samantha for walking out of their upcoming film citing that there is clash of dates and she cannot accommodate the call sheets.
Movie Artistes Association (MAA) faced an embarrassing situation when it learned that majority of the heroines were not their members and had issued notices to some of them.
Since MAA is the only regulatory body to arbitrate any disputes in an ongoing project, producer Bellamkonda Suresh looked to the association to solve the problem and word is that wise heads of the industry (elected body) are working out an amicable solution.
Samantha is believed to have dumped film being produced by Bellamkonda under Sai Ganesh Productios banner which has Siddharth as hero and directed by Nandini Reddy of Ala Modalaindi fame.
Samantha, born to Telugu and Malayali parents, after giving the nod initially has now said that she cannot take up the picture as she is unable to adjust the call sheets.
The cute girl from Chennai, who twinkled in hits like Brindavanam (Jr NTR) and Dukudu (Mahesh Babu), is said to be drafted to play the role besides Mahesh Babu in the multi-starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu which also has Venkatesh in the main role.
The trouble began after Mahesh Babu has okayed Samantha for the film and her rota became overcrowded prompting her to refuse Bellamkonda's project. A furious Bellamkonda is said to have lodged a complaint against Samantha with MAA and Producer's Council.
