Kollywood 2012 calendar launched
Chennai: A classy calendar featuring pictures of Kollywood's twelve top actresses shot by ace photographer G Venkat Ram was released by actor Surya at the Hyatt.
Venkat Ram's 2012 calendar features Amy Louise Jackson, Amala Paul, Samantha, Genelia, Trisha, Richa Gangopadhyay, Shriya Saran, Sameera Reddy, Priya Anand, Deeksha Seth, Mamta Mohan Das and Kajal Aggarwal.
The event was graced by directors K S Ravikumar, Vijay, Dharani and actresses Kushboo and Sameera Reddy, whose pictures have been featured in the calendar.
Speaking on the occasion, Suriya said, 'Last year, we did a similar photo shoot for the 2011 calendar. So, I was expecting his call this year too. I wasn't able to reach Venkat for a while and then, I got to know that work on this calendar featuring the actresses was on.
I've known Venkat for a long time. It's been a long journey for us together from Kaakha Kaakha. The calendar looks great. It is so hot that one might get burnt.'
Sameera Reddy, who spoke on the occasion, said, 'I have worked and been a part of several Bollywood calendars. But I never thought that I would be a part of a calendar featuring the top actresses of Kollywood. I need to thank Venkat for it.'
Actress Kushboo, for her part said, 'All the actresses look ravishing in the calendar. Actresses have been willing to experiment for this calendar. That itself shows Venkat has won their confidence. Otherwise, the actresses wouldn't have wanted to experiment.'
Thanking all those who had made the calendar possible, Venkat said, 'The calendar is available at all Odyssey stores across the country.'
