Richa in Bengali 'Vikramarkudu' Hyderabad: Gorgeous actress Richa Gangopadhyay of Mirapakay fame is going places. After proving her mettle in Tollywood with films like 'Leader' and 'Nagavalli', the actress has stepped into Tamil industry through 'Mayakkam Enna' and 'Osthe'.
She received rave reviews for her performance in both Tamil films and now the actress will foray into Bengali films. Interestingly it is her mother tongue.
The actress will reportedly play the role that was played by Anushka in director Rajamouli's 'Vikramarkudu' which was remade as 'Siruthai' in Tamil and is going through its shooting as 'Rowdy Rathore' in Bollywood The Bengali version will be directed by Rajib and will see Richa pairing up with Prosenjit Chatterjee.
It is produced by Bengal's leading production company, Eskay Movies and the actress is elated considering that she always intended to act in Bengali films.
In the meantime, the actresses' next Telugu flick will be 'Vaaradhi' with Prabhas. She recently participated in a schedule of the film which will release mid 2012.
