Nandeeswarudu' to release on Jan 15
Hyderabad: Actor Tarakarathna's upcoming film 'Nandeeswaarudu' has finally got a release date after being postponed twice. Initially, it was to release on December 23 but got postponed to January 14.
The makers of the movie have now pushed its release further by a day and have slated the release to January 15, coinciding with the Sankranthi.
Big-budget, super star movies like The Businessman and Bodyguard are releasing on January 13, 14 respectively.
Despite having tough competition at the box office with the two biggies, Nandeeswarudu is fighting it out for the top slot and making its release on Pongal day. Interestingly, January 15 is a Sunday.
However, that has not dissuaded the makers from releasing it on that day. They say they expect decent opening due to Pongal festival.
The film based on a Kannada film titled 'Deadly Soma' will see Jagapathi Babu, Sheena apart from Tarakaratna playing lead roles. Suman, Ajay, Jeeva and Nagineedu are playing supporting roles.
Directed by Srinivas Yarajala, the film is a joint venture between Gangadhar Reddy and Ramesh Babu.
