Shankar to direct Chiranjeevi's 150? Hyderabad: Megastar Chiranjeevi's 150th film has become the talking point in the industry one more time. Paruchuri Brothers prepared the script for this proposed venture long back in 2008. Its storyline is based on the life and times of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
Chiru's actor-son Ram Charan Tej had even declared that he would produce it, while Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts came forward to distribute it.
However, the latest buzz is producer NV Prasad of Mega Supergood Films (now producing Ram Charan's 'Rachcha') reportedly discussed with film-maker Shankar the prospects of handling the movie. The former is willing to co-produce it if the director agrees to helm the prestigious project.
Actor-politician Chiranjeevi earlier expressed his desire to work with Shankar after watching 'Robot'. Chiru's 150th flick has been constantly put off ever since he entered politics.
The names of ace directors including SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, AR Murugadoss and et al were considered and Charan wanted to launch his production house - Leo Projects Pvt Ltd - any moment, but all in vain.
