MAA music awards celebrations Hyderabad: Lyricist 'Sirivennela' Sitaramasastri was awarded the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' at the MAA music awards held on Wednesday. Singers Geeta Madhuri, Pranavi, Malavika and Sri Krishna crooned for the award-winning lyricist's songs.
Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja was awarded the 'Best Composer' in the category of background score. On behalf of him, producer of Sri Rama Rajyam Yalamanchali Saibaba received the award. Lyricist Jonnavitthula bagged the 'Best Lyric Writer' award.
Music composer Devi Sri Prasad won the 'Popular Music Director' award while S S Thaman was awarded the 'Best Music Director' honour.
'Dookudu' producers received 'Musical Film of the Year' award. Actress Swathi got best singing sensation award. Choreographer Prem Rakshit got award in category of best dance number.
Lyricist Suddala Ashoka Teja received award in category of inspirational song.
Music composer of '3' movie Aniruddh enthralled with his song 'Kolaveri Di' at the event. Singers Sri Krishna and Suneetha's Veturi's classical songs captivated the audiences to the show.
Charmee sizzled with her live dance on the stage and Mariam Zackaria danced for 'Diyalo Diyalo' song. Singer Baba Sehgal mesmerised the crowd in his own style. Entertainment channel 'MAA Gold' was also launched during the event.
Director K Viswanath, producer K Atchi Reddy, director's S V Krishna Reddy and Nandini Reddy, music composer Mani Sharma, lyricist Chandrabose, Amala, and Sumanth graced the event.
