Drunken SRK roughs up Farah's hubby
MUMBAI: The film industry and media circles were abuzz on Monday with reports of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan having roughed up film director Farah Khan's filmmaker husband at a party on Sunday night/early Monday morning.
Reports attributed the information to a statement issued by Farah via SMS. The incident is said to have taken place at a party thrown by Sanjay Dutt and his wife Manyata in Mumbai to celebrate the success of his film Agneepath. The party was attended by Shah Rukh, Farah and her husband Shirish Kunder.
Farah's statement said, 'Last night after SRK hit Shi'rish, SRK was fully drunk. Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem and that it means the person who is hitting has eit'her a personal or professional crisis going on. It saddens me to see him doing the same.'
Some media quoted Farah as having given graphic details: Shah Rukh jumped on Kunder from behind, grabbed his hair and twisted his neck. Kunder on Monday tweeted that the couple had no intention of pursuing the matter with the police.
If Farah's claim is true, this would be the first time that SRK is known to have lost his cool and resorted to assault. SRK was apparently angry with Kunder's sarcastic reaction on Twitter to the film Ra.One. 'I just heard a `150 cr firework fizzle,' Kunder had tweeted.
